About
One watchmaker. Your watch, start to finish.
Calibre Watch Services was established in 2016 and is run from a private workshop in Tayport, Fife. With over twenty years of watchmaking experience, including Rolex training in Madrid, every job is done by the same pair of hands. That experience includes time at Cartier in London and at E.P. Mallory & Son in Bath, and work at The Red House, a Rolex boutique in Gibraltar. Calibre is a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers’ Guild.
Work covers Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, Breitling and Cartier. There is no sales floor and no middleman, just the watchmaker and your watch.

FAQ
Common questions.
How often should a Rolex be serviced?
Rolex suggests servicing a modern watch roughly every ten years under normal wear. Many watchmakers, myself included, would say five to seven years is kinder to the movement, especially if you wear it daily or in water. See a watchmaker sooner if it’s gaining or losing time, the power reserve drops, the crown feels gritty, or there’s any moisture under the crystal. Get in touch and I’ll advise on yours.
Is independent servicing as good as sending it back to Rolex?
Work is done by a Rolex-trained watchmaker. Cost, turnaround and warranty differ, so ask for a comparison before you decide.
How do I send my watch safely?
Use tracked, insured delivery. Packing guidance comes with your quote.
Will you polish my watch?
Only if you ask. A clean is a clean, and polishing is never assumed.
